Nice job on today's activity! The grid will be posted tomorrow during 6th period. If you have a study hall during 6th period Tuesday, nothing to do, and want to come help, please let me know! I would love some help!
I didn't post on Thursday or Firday... I don't know what happened!!! I normally post every day, but for some reason, my head just wasn't on straight the last few days of school.
Today we began working with percentages. Here's a little bit of information about percentages:
I have to say that I am very impressed with your work today everyone! You did really well for a Monday morning, especially after a really long weekend! As you know, homework is to complete the fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions worksheet. Do your best and good luck!
Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my blog! I started it the day after Thanksgiving last year and I have had so much fun bring math, academic help, fun pictures, and some interesting "stuff" to you! I hope that you are all having a wonderful Thanksgiving break! See you Monday!
Please use the video posts from a few days ago to help you study!!! Tonight's homework is to Study for the quiz and get your decimal test signed if you have not already done so. :)
Answers to the divisibility worksheet: (bold numbers are the ones that work)
Thanks for all the fun in class today! I really enjoyed finishing the posters with you! I will post the pictures on Monday! In the meantime, here is a picture of Homer Simpson that Ryan M. made on the keyboard. (I rotated it so you can see it better)
Homework is to complete the study guide for Monday, study for the Test on Tuesday, and get your test signed by Tuesday.
As you know, we have our Number Theory Quiz on Tuesday. The study guide is due on Monday, so be sure to spend a little bit of time on that each day. The quiz will be the last grade of the first trimester, so please be sure to do your best. If you want to improve your average, this is the time to do it. If you are already happy with your average, make sure that this grade won't bring you down at all!
I have supreme faith in your abilities and your diligence! This is what you need to know: (videos included where I could find them) :)
* Divisibility rules for 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10
(you can ignore the rules for 4, 8, and 12)
* Prime Numbers
* Composite Numbers
* Least Common Multiple
* Lowest Terms/simplifying fractions
* Equivalent fractions
* Fraction Pictures (shading in a grid or circling some items in a larger set)
* Converting from Mixed to Improper fractions
* Converting from Improper to Mixed fractions
(don't worry about the percentage part)
* Comparing and Ordering Fractions.
Good Luck Everyone! We will finish our posters tomorrow in class!
