Adding and Subtracting Decimals
The thing that is awesome about adding and subtracting decimals is that there is really only one thing to remember... LINE UP THE DOT! When you set up your problem, you need to make sure that the decimals line up so that each place value matches in a column, ones with ones, tenths with tenths, etc.
The Rappin' Mathematician can help you to remember to line up the dot (and give it all you've got!)
Tonight's homework is to complete 20 problems on worksheet 3-6. Of those 20 problems, two must be the word problems at the bottom of the page. You should have made some progress on this assignment in class!
Don't forget to "plop" the decimal into the answer! ;)
