Word Problem Workout!

I was extremely impressed by the work I saw in class today as we completed the fraction word problems.   I think we really met our object of determining which operation to use in real life situations to solve fraction problems.  Thank you for your hard work and effort on this topic.

I know that we got a little bit goofy when we were talking about dividing, but you should apply the same test when you try to complete a fraction division problem...  If you are about to chop up people into pieces, you very likely have the problem set up wrong or shouldn't be dividing.  Please take a look at the problems on you paper or at the completed examples from class below to help you think about it.

We  will have a test next Friday, October 19th, 2012, so start preparing.  I will give you a study guide and practice problems on Monday, but you should be reviewing your old homework, the extra practice papers I've given out, your notes and the previous blog posts to help you prepare for this test.  There's a lot of information on it, and the sooner you get started, the better off you will be!

There is No Homework, so just have a lovely weekend and try to fit in some review/studying if you can!
