Line up the dot, Give it all you Got!

So we started working on adding and subtracting decimals today in class.  We also watched two videos to help us understand the concepts...  Check them out below.

Video lesson:

Rappin' Mathematician:

We also talked about another trick to help us remember to put the decimal in our answers...  Feel free to "plop" your decimal as you work, but be aware of who is around when you do it!  ;)

Homework is to complete worksheet 3-6, but only do 9 addition problems, 9 subtraction problems, and the two word problems.  You must show all work on the grided paper that follows the assignment in the packet and please transfer your answers to the original worksheet.  Please remember that we are finding the actual answers today, not rounding!

-Miss K  :)

  1. Line up the dot, and give it all you got!

  2. Haha! I loved the Rappin' Mathematician! I found a fraction one and it was sooo funny! You should look it up. Thanks for showing this video to us :)

  3. The song 'Line up the dot and give it all you got' is stuck in my head, but I like the song so it isn't that bad.
